I recently visited Galicia in Spain, a region that is much different from the popular tourist destinations on the south coast. I was amazed by the region's lush green hills, its cascading waterfalls, and its beautiful beaches. I also enjoyed the region's rich history. I visited numerous Roman sites, including the Roman gold mine in Las Médulas and the hot spring baths in Orense.
